Application to extend the time limit to deliver a complaint

This is not a complaint form. Under the Employment Standards Act, complaints must be filed within 6 months of your last day of work or the last day of your temporary layoff.
 
Employment Standards has advised you that your complaint was closed because it was filed outside the applicable timeline. After reviewing our resources, you have indicated that you wish to apply for an extension of the time limit. To do so, you'll need to show that you couldn't file the complaint in time due to special circumstances and that an injustice will result if your complaint isn't investigated.
 
If you don't submit this form by the deadline provided to you, your complaint will remain closed and no further action will be taken.

Before you start
Review the information on Complaint and Time Limit - Act Part 10, Section 74, especially the list of circumstances that typically don't qualify for an extension. If the list includes your circumstances, Employment Standards cannot grant you an extension.
