Jurisdiction form for complainant possibly not covered by employment standards

This is not a complaint form. If you need to resolve a problem at work, you can submit a complaint to Employment Standards.

Not every workplace or type of work is covered by B.C. employment standards. Several types of workplaces, workers and professions set their own standards or are federally regulated.

If you've been directed here by the Employment Standards Branch, you can use this form to explain the details of your complaint and why you believe you are covered by B.C. employment standards.

Note that each authority sets its own time limit to file a complaint. If you wait for a decision from the Employment Standards Branch before you file a complaint elsewhere, you could fall outside those time limits and be unable to resolve your complaint.
