Participant Form for CleanBC Design Research

Thank you for your interest in helping improve government's environment-related information and services.
 
This work is part of a cross-government project involving the Ministry of Citizens' Services, Climate Action Secretariat, Government Communications and Public Engagement, and their partners.
 
We're talking to people to understand more about how we can improve the CleanBC website and digital services. By completing this form, you're letting us know that you're interested in taking part in our research.
 
Options for taking part may include (but aren't limited to):
  • A video interview with a researcher, to learn more about your needs and experiences with environment-related information and services
  • A video session where you navigate an existing climate website and provide feedback on how easy it is to use and share ideas for improvements
  • A small group workshop to contribute your design ideas
  • Surveys and other online activities you can complete on your own time        
Research activities range in length from 15 minutes (for a survey) to an hour (for a workshop or interview). Our research is ongoing and if you’re selected to participate, the activities can be scheduled at a time that works for you. Selected participants will receive a gift card as a thank-you for taking part.      
 
Collection Notification      
 
This information is collected by the Ministry of Citizens' Services - Government Digital Experience under section 26(c) and 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used for the purpose of assisting analysis in the project described above. We use this information to help us select research participants who are representative of everyone who uses government websites and to help us identify barriers to accessing information and services.
 
Our research focuses on the experiences of people who live in B.C., including Indigenous people, minority groups and newcomers to the province. We are not currently researching with people who live outside of B.C.

Considerations may include (but aren't limited to): use of a screen reader, use of a transcript or ASL interpreter, having designs or interview questions provided in advance, use of large print supporting materials, or someone to attend the session with you.
